May 2020 Newsletter

Drifters,

April has been a month like we’ve never seen before. And May looks like it will be interesting too. The corona virus has changed our lives more than we could have imagined. Sure, it’s been a little scary, but who ever thought we’d ride through Zion National Park without a single car in front of us the whole way through. Without having to stop at the tunnel. Without having to wait to get through the entrance gate. Without even stopping at the gate. And we did it almost every week.

Many of our club members are riding with the club most every week. We’ve been getting good turn outs. While others are staying home to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. I wish I was smart enough to know what we should all be doing. Each of us has to use the knowledge we have, weigh our risks, and do what we think is right for ourselves. That may mean staying home. Or riding solo. Or riding with the club while practicing social distancing. I pray for the day we can all ride together again without the fear of catching something.
