DRIFTER RIDE TO THE MESQUITE MOTOR MADNESS CAR SHOW

The Covid delayed Mesquite Motor Madness is finally happening this Friday and Saturday May 21st and 22nd.
The annual Drifter ride to the car show will be on Friday the 21st. It’s less crowded than on Saturday.
We will meet at Exit 2 Terrible’s Chevron at 9:30 AM. We will meet in the parking lot of the large building behind Terrible’s.
We will ride to the show and after catch as catch can parking we will be off to check out all the fine “shorts” found mostly at the old, torn down, Oasis Casino hotel parking lot across the street from the Casablanca hotel and casino. Some cars will be on display at the Casablanca as well. A few might be down at the Virgin River or Eureka casinos too.
This is the biggest car show in the area each year and has vehicles brought in from all over the western states, many we’ve not seen before.
Lunch will be on your own or with other Drifters you run across during your hike through the venue. Some Drifters grab lunch at McDumps on the main drag, you can walk.
You may return home when you have had enough car show. There will be no scheduled Drifter ride back to our home base but you can link up with other Drifters for the return ride. Part of Old 91 over Utah Hill is being chip sealed so returning via the Gorge might be best.
SO!……..Come on out!…….. Ride your sled, drive your heap, but be there or be square!!!!!!!!!!

PS Car junkies better leave your cash and check books at home! You may see that one you’ve always wanted or even the actual car you had in high school!
Past Drifter, Jon Kromroy, saw his original high school car at the show a few years ago and was able to get permission from the present owner to dig out all the loose change
Jon had lost in the seats back when he owned the car!!!!!
