Drifters Newsletter April 2017

Riding weather is here (most days) and it’s the perfect time to get out there and join the Drifters. March was really fun with rides to Overton on Saint Patty’s Day, rides to Mesquite for lunch, and a ride to Enterprise for lunch at Marv’s – just to name a few.  On the days that we didn’t have rain, we were blessed with absolutely amazing riding weather.  It’s been fun to see folks come out that haven’t joined us in a while (Danny, Bill P, and even Ed Haines on his new VTX1300)! We’ve had quite a few guests along on our rides as well – perhaps new Drifters in the making?  Margrete and Barbara hostessed a fantastic Saint Patrick’s corned beef dinner at Margrete’s lovely home.  Food was delicious, the pool was warm as a bathtub, and we had quite a crowd.  Dinner at Stage Coach Grille in LaVerkin was very good (I am told).  Sure hope I can attend next year – I  hate living vicariously!  March was just a taste of what’s yet to come…  April will continue our weekly rides – Wednesday 11:30 Texaco Coral Canyon, Friday Golden Corral 9:30, and Saturday Zion HD at 11:30.  April 26-28 is the Laughlin River Run  with overnights in Laughlin, NV and Kingman AZ!  This trip will include a stop in ever popular Oatman to enjoy the wild donkeys, and possibly an ice cream.  Vern is ride leader, so it’s bound to be a great ride! Don’t forget our April Monthly Drifter Dinner – Wednesday April 19th at the Rib and Chop house!  Please RSVP to Pam for that one.

The Executive Committee has some really fun ideas in the works…we will be rolling them out right after our upcoming meeting.  Suffice to say that with all the new blood on the committee, things are gonna get even more interesting!

Be sure to check out the Drifter Diversion page on this site – Mike reviewed some of our March rides, and John took a nice selection of photos to prove we were really there!

Hope to see y’all out on the road or with a fork in hand very soon…

Keep the shiny side up!
