Drifters MC Newsletter December 2014
Drifters MC Newsletter for December 2014
President’s Message…..
Well, it’s the Holiday Season again and soon we’ll all be busy trying to avoid it or fulfilling our yearly obligations. If you’re a kid, I’m sure you can hardly wait for Christmas Day and the ripping open of your gifts. If you’re an adult, you’re thinking about what gift you can give to yourself to make sure you get something you really want. You are racking your brain deciding what gifts to give to friends and family. Hoping to select gifts that won’t be returned to the store the first polite opportunity, or worse, be re-gifted at the Drifter Christmas Party! Which leads me to the real message I want to suggest here. Your entire holidays will be a disappointment if you don’t attend the Drifter Christmas Party. Get your money in to Treasurer, Lynne Piper, as soon as possible. Why suffer the stigma of missing out! This will help us get an early count so we can notify Bloomington Country Club of the number of attendees we’ll have so they can plan for enough food and seating. Get your reservations in before Friday, December 12th. Members and prospects both are welcome. Member’s guests also can come. Please, no children, except those over age 50! Hope to see you all there! Mike

Editor’s Corner…. As this is my final month as your Drifter MC Interim Secretary and Newsletter Editor, I wish to take this opportunity to thank the membership. Your patience and guidance was and is much appreciated. The board was especially kind and helpful. I look forward to serving the Club in other ways in the future. It’s been a great experience for me. Thanks again, Drifters! You’re the best! Jeanne
Webmaster’s Ramblings….First of all, thank you to our fearless leader Mike for giving me the go-ahead to set up the new Drifters website. Thanks also to Jeanne, Marty, John and Lynne for their help jumping the hurdles encountered. Having been a member for only a couple of years, this new experience is allowing me to get to know many of you a whole lot better. Driftersmc.com is user-friendly, so I encourage you to participate by sharing what you love about being a Drifter. Drifters can’t always attend every event, but we still want to know the latest news (gossip). With that being said, please send your stories (or lies) and photos about your latest motorcycle adventure to our Interim-Secretary Jeanne, and I will happily post here for everyone to enjoy. Action-Item: Please send photos of you, your significant other (if applicable)and your bike for the “Drifters and their Bikes” section of this site. Prospective members will be browsing the web looking for a club to join, and we want them to know what a fun, diverse (and handsome) group we are. Be sure to include your name(s), and description of your bike. – make, model, & year. We only have 4 Drifters on this page so far, so please join in! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Can’t wait to see you all at the Christmas Party! Dawn
