December 2019 Newsletter

FROM THE EDITOR……….. DECEMBER 2019

I’d like to say, Welcome Drifters to the Christmas Season, 2019 but I’m too late!!!!!!! The season now starts before Halloween according to the retailers out there. Even so, I refuse to get into the Christmas spirit until the last possible minute. Bah Humbug is my attitude until at least the actual week of Christmas, maybe not before the 24th! Not to worry, Drifters, because our club has planned another terrific CHRISTMAS PARTY for you who can’t wait to start celebrating early, on December 14th. Details to follow on our website.
As I write this I’m still recovering from the great THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER we had at the Black Bear Restaurant on Thanksgiving day. Hope everyone had a great time and thanks to all who attended. It was great way to close out November for our club. Many positive comments suggest we might make this an annual Drifter event. If you haven’t already, let me know how you feel.
Weather here in our area has turned very winter-like the last few days. Rain and even snow has fallen over Thanksgiving so some of us are missing getting on our scoots and getting in our therapy rides. Fear not, our Wednesday rides and our Saturday Zion Harley burger and hot dog rides will continue to be scheduled throughout the winter and we’ll ride when we can.
Hope to see you all at the DRIFTER CHRISTMAS PARTY at the Rib and Chop house. We even have our own private room!!!!!!! Details are posted on our website. Don’t forget about our annual NEW YEARS DAY RIDE to lunch at Los Lupe’s Mexican Restaurant in sunny Mesquite, Nevada. Its a rain or shine affair so we’ll ride if weather permits. If not then cruise down in your “short”. If you want to bring your non riding S.O. drive down or we can set up a car pool for them so you can ride. I’ll ask for volunteer Drifter “UBER” drivers to sign up to transport  interested non riders.
Thanks to you all for supporting Drifters M/C in 2019!!!!!!!!!    and a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!
