April 2021 Newsletter
From our President:
Well. It’s that time of year again. I considered creating an April newsletter telling you about my recent crash and as a result I’ve giving up riding. Or maybe about my stoke of good luck with a Nigerian prince and the large fortune I received from him. But I knew that you’d all see right through that and know that it’s an April Fool’s Day prank.
Now I can’t just let this day slide by without having a little fun with it. So let’s play a modified version of April Fool’s Day. You’ve heard of the game “2 truths and a lie”? My version has any number of facts or lies.
I missed quite a few rides with the Drifters early this year. Not everyone knows why. Which of the following are actual reasons I missed rides this year and which are total bulls###t? If you think you’ve got it, ask me at your next ride. Or, if you just couldn’t care less, maybe you can do the May newsletter!
- My wife had back surgery and needed me at home.
- I’ve been riding with the Temple Riders.
- I have a new puppy that couldn’t be left alone.
- My bike was in the shop for repairs.
- I was suffering from COVID-19.
On a different topic, our weather is looking better and the COVID thing is getting better. Both of these things make me happy. It’s time to start thinking seriously about resuming the social aspects of the club. Look for an invitation this coming month to get together and do some planning.
