Drifters Newsletter July 2018
July is here and of course all Drifters are looking forward to the big Fourth of July BBQ and swim party at our wonderful Margrete’s beautiful Hurricane, Utah home! Margrete puts on a great BBQ spread, added to with many scrumptious food items brought by attending Drifters. This is a chance for all Drifters to celebrate the birth of our nation and show their patriotism and thankfulness to be citizens of our fantastic country. The only people taking a knee at this gathering will be those who have eaten too much (again! ) and can no longer support themselves on two feet. Details in the newsletter.
There will also be a Drifter cruise to the Cedar City car show on Saturday July 14th. Again, details will be found in the July newsletter events section.
Hot weather has kept a few of our Drifter pals at home next to their air conditioner but hopefully they will realize that for the next couple of months the desert climate will prevail. Thankfully we southern riders can head for the cooler climes up north. Northern riders can merely wait for us to arrive at our northern pick up points and then join in on the ride.
Other than our regular weekly schedule of rides, breakfasts, and lunches and some special planned activities we have a wide open calendar for the rest of the year. We encourage Drifters who would like to plan a ride or dinner to contact our planning committee. A multi day ride, an overnighter or a destination ride would be fun. You could do one of our favorite rides from past years or plan something new. Let’s hear from you!
