Drifters Newsletter December 2017

November weather was amazing this year!  Fall continued on and on, much to many Drifters’ delight!  Our ride schedule for our regular Wednesday rides was pushed back due to chilly temps in the morning, but most days ended up being perfect examples of sunny Southern Utah travel advertisements.  We had a nice ride on Saturday, November 18th for our annual Turkey Trot…congrats to John Marshall who won the gift certificate for the Turkey!  Mike Roe, our editor, put together a ride review in the Drifter Diversions/Photo Album section of this website, please check it out.  Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving Holiday!

Coming up in December is our annual Drifter Christmas Party.  This year we will hold it at the Rib and Chop House on Thursday, December 14th at 6:00pm.  All Drifters were emailed complete party and RSVP information, so if you need more information, please contact me.

Other upcoming important events….

Monday, January 1st – Drifter Annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear Ride
Join us on our annual ride to Los Lupes in Mesquite, NV for lunch. Kickstands up at 11:45am at Bloomington Chevron. Please call Mike Roe with your RSVP by Saturday,
December 30th (sooner if possible). Los Lupes is always very busy on New Years Day and needs a firm headcount to get us seated as a group.  Mike’s cell is 435-669-2063. This is a rain or shine event, please feel free to bring your cages if weather is cold!

Saturday, January 27th – Drifter Annual Membership Meeting
This year it will again be held at Mark & Dawn Derenski’s home. We will begin with a potluck at 6:00pm, then our meeting will start at 7:00 pm. Lynne Piper will be in
charge of organizing the potluck items, so please call her at 435-691-5576. Lynne will take note of the item you wish to bring and make suggestions based on what others plan on bringing. Please plan on attending, as this is our only scheduled Drifter Meeting for the year 2018. Please feel free to bring anyone that you think might be interested in getting to know us, or join or club. We’ve got a few great cooks in the club, so do come hungry!

Lynne will also be accepting membership dues for 2018. Remember our dues are a bargain at $30.00 per year (includes both rider/member and their significant other).

If you are not a member and are interested in more information about the Drifters, please send a “contact us” form from this website and you will be contacted with information on how to join us.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
